Free Libre Open Source Software Kosova(FLOSS Kosova)
Is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established in 2009 to promote free and open source software, free culture, and open standards in Kosovo. Its charter obliges FLOSS Kosova to organize a yearly software freedom conference.

  UP
University of Prishtina (UP)
With some 30,000 students, it is the biggest university in Kosovo, covering all areas of study. Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering (FIEK) is attended by around 1,500 students. KEY PEOPLE
From FLOSS Kosova:
James Mike Dupont - is Co-Chair of the Conference Steering Working Group of the first Software Freedom Conference in Kosovo. Mike is the initiator and Member of the Board of FLOSS Kosova, the organization that is co-organizing Software Freedom Kosovo 2009 along with the University of Prishtina. He specializes in data extraction and C++ programming.
Shkumbin Brestovci - is a  Steering Group Member and Member of the Board of FLOSS Kosova. Bresta is General Director at Rrota, a successful web and design company in Kosovo.
Arianit Dobroshi - is a Steering Group Member and Finance and Sponsorship Group Co-Chair. He is Member of the Board of FLOSS Kosova, where he does community outreach and public relations. His background is in Aviation Management.
Flakron Bytyqi - is a Steering Group Member and President of the Board of FLOSS Kosova. Flakron works as a programmer at a local company.
Bernard Nikaj - is Co-Chair of the Conference Program (Papers) Working Group. He holds a MSc in Analysis, Design and Management of Information Systems from LSE and is interested among others in e-government, open source, crowd-sourcing and social study of information technology.

From University of Prishtina:
Lule Ahmedi - is Co-Chair of the Conference Steering Working Group from the University of Prishtina. Lule holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and teaches at the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the UP and Southeast Europe University in Tetova, Macedonia.
Myzafere Limani - is a Steering Group Member and Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the UP. She holds a Ph.D. in Electricalal Engineering.
Agni Dika - is a Steering Group Member and Professor at the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the UP. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
Blerim Rexha - is a Steering Group Member and Professor at the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the UP. Rexha is also Deputy-Minister of Energy in the Government of the Republic of Kosovo. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
Mentor Arifaj - is Co-Chair of the Program (Papers) Group. Arifaj is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the UP. He is a Ph.D. candidate in Electrical Engineering profile of Computer Science.
Adnan Maxhuni - is Co-Chair of the Finance and Sponsorship Group. Maxhuni is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the UP.
Valon Raça - is Co-Chair of the Logistics (Local Arrangements) Working Group. Raça is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the UP.
